Patient Rights

General Access to Services and Equality in Access:

Patients receiving healthcare services, their relatives, and every individual applying to our hospital have the right to benefit from all our services in a comfortable environment that respects social values and protects dignity, security, and peace, without discrimination of culture, religion, language, race, or sect. Our patients have the right to be informed about the diagnostic and treatment opportunities offered by our hospital and how to access these services.

Right to Information and Consent
Our patients, either themselves or through their legal representatives, have the right to receive complete information in a language and method they can understand regarding the recommended medical procedures, the potential risks and benefits of each procedure, the alternatives to the recommended procedures, and the complications that may develop as a result of not receiving treatment. After being informed about serious side effects, risk of death, problems related to recovery, and treatment outcomes, our patients have the right to accept or refuse the proposed treatment. By exercising this right, they are deemed to have “given consent” to the procedures to be performed. Patients who refuse the proposed treatment are not deprived of other care and treatment opportunities of the institution. Our patients have the right to receive information regarding the accurate evaluation and treatment of their illness. Patients and their families (relatives) also have the right to receive information about organ and tissue donation. Our patients have the right to be clearly informed about the mission of the hospital.

Right to Choose and Change the Institution
Patients have the right to choose and change the healthcare institution and to benefit from the healthcare services provided in the chosen institution.

Right to Know, Choose, and Change the Personnel
Our patients have the right to know the identity, duty, and title of the doctor, nurse, and other healthcare personnel responsible for their treatment, as well as the right to choose and change them.

Right to Refuse or Stop Treatment
Except in legally mandatory cases, and with the responsibility of possible negative outcomes belonging to the patient, the patient has the right to refuse or request the discontinuation of the planned or ongoing treatment.

Right to Privacy (Confidentiality)
Our patients have the right to receive services in an environment that ensures privacy throughout the treatment process. The health status, medical condition, and all personal information of every individual applying to our hospital are protected in a confidential manner even after their death. Such information can only be disclosed with the patient’s explicit consent or by court order.

Right to Respect
Our patients have the right to undergo examinations and receive treatment in an environment that is respectful, compassionate, and friendly, where their personal dignity is protected at all times and under all conditions.

Right to Request Consultation
Our patients have the right to request a consultant physician for diagnosis and treatment. The consultant physician recommends treatment, but the primary physician gives final approval for the procedure.

Right to Practice Religious Obligations
As long as it does not interfere with treatment, our patients have the right to freely practice their religious obligations without discrimination.

Right to Safety
Everyone has the right to be safe within the healthcare institution and to request such safety. Necessary measures are taken by our hospital to protect the life and property security of patients and their relatives such as visitors and companions. Appropriate protective measures are also in place for children, disabled individuals, and elderly patients (alone, in need of care, without companions).

Right to Have Visitors and Companions
Our patients have the right to receive visitors and have companions, in accordance with the procedures and principles determined by our hospital.

Right to File Complaints, Opinions, and Suggestions
Patients and their families have the right to initiate, review, conclude, and be informed about the complaint mechanism in case of violation of patient rights.

Hospital Rules and Practices
Our patients have the right to be informed about the hospital rules and practices that will be applied to them.

Examination and Treatment Costs
Our patients have the right to learn about treatment service costs before treatment, and to request and receive invoices for the fees paid in return for the services received.
